This is an exciting post for me. The portraits project is nearly finished and songs from it can be heard here. For those of you who are unfamiliar "Portraits" is a project that has been produced by Greg Edwards of Off The Air. As is stated in the image above, it contains thirty two songs from thirty two different singers and songwriters (including Nick Shattell, Travis Vick, Scott Bartenhagen, Boy Scouts (Taylor Vick), and Steve Werning just to name a few friends). The project will be available soon as a compilation CD (more details will be available on The Official Portraits Website very soon). Additionally there will be a series of showcase events with performances from the artists involved the first of which will be on May 14th in Modesto, CA at Deva Cafe, followed by shows in Sacramento and San Francisco, happening on the 12th of June and the 10th of July respectively (details to the right there). To finish up here I'd just like to thank Greg Edwards, Doug Holcomb (the man responsible for all the beautiful photos for the project), as well as all of my fellow musicians for making this all possible. It's truly an honor to be a part of something like this.
